Idan Schatz

Idan Schatz serves as the Director of Model Development at Pagaya since April 2022, where management of a data science team focuses on developing machine learning credit underwriting models. In addition, since October 2023, Idan acts as a lecturer at Reichman University, teaching Portfolio Management to finance students. Prior to Pagaya, Idan was the Head of Research at AlphaBeta, responsible for quantitative investment strategy development and team leadership. Previous roles include Team Leader of Model Risk Management at Deloitte Israel, Product Manager at Puzzle Projects LTD, and Naval Officer in the Israeli Navy. Idan holds a Master of Arts in Financial Economics from Reichman University, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The Open University of Israel, and graduated with excellence from the Israeli Naval Academy, along with a Bachelor's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from the University of Haifa.
