David Guth is an accomplished author and academic with extensive experience in public relations and communications. Coauthor of three public relations textbooks and sole author of two notable works, "Bridging the Chesapeake: A 'Fool Idea' That Unified Maryland" and "Thirteen Minutes: Death of an American High School," David is preparing for the release of a third book in late 2024. With a career at The University of Kansas spanning over three decades, David served as Associate Professor Emeritus and held leadership roles including Strategic Communications Track Chair and Associate Dean. David's volunteer work includes contributions to the American Red Cross in the Kansas/Oklahoma Region. Previous roles have included serving as Special Assistant for Public Information in various North Carolina state departments and as a media coordinator for the North Carolina Inaugural Committee, as well as working in broadcasting. David holds a Master's degree in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor's degree in Radio and TV from the University of Maryland.
