Michelle Pitts Linley has a wealth of experience in the tech industry. Michelle began their career in 2011 as a Student Engineer at Parsons Brinckerhoff, followed by a Student Intern position at Hatch Mott MacDonald. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Queen's University for APSC 151 and GEOL333. During this time, they also worked as an EIT Intern at Hatch Mott MacDonald and a M.Sc Candidate at Queen's University, where they researched the thermal properties of the Cobourg Limestone. In 2017, they moved to Hatch as an Engineer II, where they used industry-specific geotechnical modelling software and empirical methods to design structural support and calculate settlement impacts for a variety of tunnels and shafts. In 2019, they attended the Software Engineering Immersive program at General Assembly. Michelle then joined TELUS Digital as a Fullstack Developer in 2020, and is currently working as a Fullstack Developer at #paid, starting in 2022.
Michelle Pitts Linley attended Queen's University from 2008 to 2013, where they earned their B.Eng in Geological Engineering. Michelle then returned to Queen's University from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained their Master of Science (MS) in Geological/Geophysical Engineering.
