Kia Williams has held a variety of roles in the IT field, beginning in 2010 with a role as Jill of-All-Trades at Blessed and Highly Flavored, Inc. Kia then moved on to become a Geek Squad Advanced Repair Agent at Best Buy in 2015, followed by a Barista Trainer at Starbucks in 2013. In 2017, they held the role of Desktop Engineer at Interbrand, Desktop Support Site Coordinator at DXC Technology, and New York Site Coordinator at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. In 2018, they became an IT Support Specialist at General Assembly and a Field Engineer at Unisys. Most recently, they have been Manager, IT Operations and IT Support Specialist II at Casper since 2020, and will become IT Manager at Pair Eyewear in 2022.
Kia Williams has a diverse educational background. Kia attended The Lawrenceville School from 2003-2007, where they earned a High School diploma. Kia then attended Essex County College from 2007-2009, where they studied Computer Science and Music, but did not obtain a degree. From 2007-2011, they attended Smith College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts. In 2017, they obtained an Apple Certified Associate - Mac Integration 10.12 certification from Apple. In 2014, they obtained a CompTIA A+ ce Certification from CompTIA. In 2020, they attended General Assembly to study Python, and also obtained an Apple Certified Support Professional 10.15 certification from Apple.
