Alberto Varela

Alberto Varela has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and development.

Alberto has recently held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Paired since 2022. Prior to this, from 2020 to 2022, they worked at Genially as a Full Stack Developer and Tech Lead. In this role, they were responsible for the front-end and back-end development of the platform's main applications and served as the technical lead for two different projects.

Before that, Alberto worked at Plain Concepts from 2017 to 2020 as a Software Development Engineer. Here, they were involved in backend and frontend software development, CI/CD pipeline creation, client interaction, and delivering training for third-party companies.

From 2016 to 2017, they held the position of Development Manager at Travioor. In this role, they acted as the technical lead, managed the development department, maintained relations with tech suppliers, and provided technical support and guidance to the development team.

Alberto also has experience working as a Software Architect and Software Developer at Ve Interactive from 2014 to 2016. Alberto participated in the migration of servers to the cloud, led a tech project, and was involved in integrating the VePlatform with various e-commerce CMS and creating plugins.

Additionally, they worked as a Web Developer at LIN3S from 2012 to 2014, primarily using LAMP stack, Wordpress, and Foundation framework. Prior to that, at Alianzo Networks from 2007 to 2012, they worked as a Web Developer with LAMP stack and was involved in Social Networks development.

Earlier in their career, Alberto had a fellowship position at Iberdrola in 2004.

Alberto Varela completed their education from 2000 to 2005 at Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, earning a degree in Ingeniero Técnico Industrial with a specialization in Electrónica Industrial. In addition to their formal education, Alberto obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera Course Certificates in November 2016.
