Ferran Gebellí Guinjoan

Ferran Gebellí Guinjoan is a researcher and PhD candidate at PAL Robotics, focusing on human-centric explainable human-robot interaction, particularly in personalized explanations and participatory design. Previous experience includes a position as a research engineer at Flanders Make, where development of real-time perception modules and robust motion planning for autonomous mobile robots was conducted. Ferran has also held roles as an associate application engineer and R&D ADAS electronics engineer, contributing to SLAM extensions, ADAS feature development, and vehicle controller tuning. Earlier internships included IoT development and data science, alongside teaching roles in engineering mentorship. Educational qualifications consist of an Advanced Master in Artificial Intelligence from KU Leuven, a Master's in Industrial Engineering with a focus on robotics from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering Technologies from the same institution, complemented by experiences at RWTH Aachen University and ETH Zürich.
