Slobodan Mitrovic

Slobodan Mitrovic is a distinguished archaeologist and educator with extensive experience in various roles within academia and cultural resource management. Currently, Mitrovic serves as Principal Investigator at the Public Archaeology Laboratory, Inc. and holds a position as an archaeologist with the Register of Professional Archaeologists. Previous roles include Historic Preservation Specialist at FEMA and Director of Planning & Development for the Sauk-Suiattle Indian Tribe. An accomplished educator, Mitrovic has lectured and served as both adjunct and visiting professor at multiple universities, including Marymount University and City College of New York, where consistent focus areas include Western Civilization and Geographic Information Systems. Mitrovic co-founded the Jadar Geoarchaeological Project and has been instrumental in collaborative projects addressing population movements and public policy in Serbia. Mitrovic holds a PhD in Anthropology from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and a degree in Archaeology from the University of Belgrade.
