Maria Litsa

Maria Litsa is a Food Application Technologist at Paleo, where responsibilities include understanding and characterizing the techno-functional properties of animal proteins produced through precision fermentation for meat alternatives. Previously, Maria served as a Research Intern at Danone Nutricia Research, focusing on the gelling properties of plant proteins for plant-based cheese. Additionally, Maria has experience as the Marketing Director at SpaceDot, leading creative direction for Public Relations and Fundraising, and held positions as Head of Project Design & Wet Lab at GEM Athens and Research Assistant Intern at the Hellenic Pasteur Institute. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Food Technology from Wageningen University & Research and an Engineer’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
