Loay Alwehwah has extensive work experience in accounting and finance roles. Loay is currently working as a Senior Accountant and Head of the Accountancy Department at the Palestinian Water Authority since July 2011. In this role, they are responsible for auditing payments prepared by other accountants and conducting audits of bank reconciliations.
Before their current position, Loay worked as a Planning Officer at the Palestinian Ministry of Youth & Sport from September 2010 to April 2011.
Prior to that, they worked as an Accountant at a Contracting Company in the UAE from November 2006 to January 2009. In this role, they were responsible for data entry, maintaining daily transactions, preparing financial statements, bank reconciliations, financial ratio analysis, and payroll preparation.
Loay Alwehwah pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 1996 to 1998, they completed their high school education at Majed Abu Sharar High School, where they obtained their HSC (High School Certificate) with a focus on Literary subjects. Following this, between 2002 and 2006, they enrolled at Alquds Open University to pursue their BAs in Accounting. To further enhance their knowledge and expertise in the field, from 2017 to 2020, Loay pursued a Master's degree in Accounting & Taxation at Al-Quds University.
