Dilmurat Mahmut, PhD, currently serves as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Concordia University since July 2023 and has been a Course Lecturer at McGill University since September 2014, teaching various courses related to education and culture. Dilmurat's research experience includes roles as a Research Associate for SSHRC-funded projects, as well as contributions as a Research Assistant focused on equity in education and immigrant integration in Canada. Dilmurat also engages in language services as a Grader for the Centre for English Exam for Teacher Certification, an Interpreter and Translator for All Languages Ltd and Palex Group Inc., and serves as Vice President for International Support for Uyghurs. Previous academic involvement includes a Visiting Scholar position at Newcastle University and an active role as Co-Chair for the Religion and Education Special Interest Group with the Comparative & International Education Society. Dilmurat holds a PhD in Educational Studies from McGill University, along with two Master's degrees in Lifelong and Comparative Education and Education obtained through the Erasmus Mundus Programme.
