The new reactor will be one of the most leading reactors in the world: PALLAS will help tens of thousands patients every day by providing medical isotopes. These are the radioactive particles in nuclear medicine that are crucial elements in order to diagnose or treat illnesses such as heart and vascular disease and cancer. PALLAS will also be an important player in (medical) nuclear technological research.
