Mark Yang has an extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Mark began their career in 1990 as a Research Associate and Graduate (MS and PhD) Student at the University of Georgia, where they published five peer-reviewed research papers. In 1996, they moved to the National Institutes of Health as an IRTA Fellow, where they authored and coauthored twelve peer-reviewed research papers in many prestigious journals. In 2000, they joined Altus Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Staff Scientist. Mark then moved to Baxter in 2005 as a Project Leader/Research Scientist. In 2007, they joined Acceleron Pharma as an Associate Director of Formulations. In 2011, they joined Sanofi as the Director of Global Pharmaceutical Development Biologics and Director of Fill Finish Development/Late Stage Process Development. Finally, in 2021, they joined Palleon Pharmaceuticals as the Vice President of CMC.
Mark Yang received their BS in Microbiology from Northwestern University, China. Mark then went on to The University of Georgia, where they earned an M.S. in Pharmacy in 1992. Finally, they completed their Ph.D. in Pharmacology from The University of Georgia in 1996.
