Heather Shirm

Heather Shirm is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic communications and mental health services. Currently serving as the Director of Strategic Communications for Palm Beach County since September 2024, Heather previously held positions within the same organization, including Manager of Digital Marketing and Communications from July 2006 to May 2024 and Web Design Coordinator, where Heather led digital outreach initiatives and website redesign projects. In addition to a robust background in public administration, Heather has worked as a Child Trauma Therapist at the Center for Child Counseling, Inc., and as a Mental Health Practitioner at Multilingual Psychotherapy Centers, Inc., providing therapy services to children and adults. Heather holds a Master of Social Work from Florida State University and a Master of Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Florida State University.
