Hebe Tabachnik is a seasoned film industry professional with extensive experience as an Executive Producer at El Perfecto David since 2020, and as a Senior Curator for the Cartagena de Indias International Film Festival since October 2018. Tabachnik has held the position of Artistic Director for the Cine Latino Minneapolis Saint Paul Film Festival since May 2016. Additionally, roles include World Cinema Programmer for the Palm Springs International Film Festival and Senior World Cinema Programmer for the Seattle International Film Festival, both of which resumed in 2007 and 2014, respectively. Tabachnik's expertise is further demonstrated through numerous juror, panelist, and consulting roles across various prestigious film festivals globally. With a Bachelor’s degree in Directing and Screenwriting from Universidad del Cine, Tabachnik combines artistic vision with a deep understanding of the film festival landscape.

The Palm Springs International Film Society is a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization whose mission is to cultivate and promote the art and science of film through education and cross-cultural awareness. The Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films and the Palm Springs International Film Festival are presented under the auspices of the Film Society and are dedicated to nurturing and encouraging new filmmaking talent, honoring the great masters of world cinema and providing audiences with a unique opportunity to engage in an appreciation of and a conversation about the art of cinema as it is represented around the world.
