Jose Herrera has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Jose currently works as the Head Lacrosse Coach for Girls at Palmer Trinity School, where they have successfully grown the team's participation and trained players with no prior lacrosse expertise. Prior to this, Jose co-founded and served as the VP of Business Development for Islamorada Beverages, overseeing operational procedures, marketing campaigns, and facility development. Jose also held roles as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Islamorada Beverages, where they grew sales and managed social media requests. Additionally, Jose was the Head Lacrosse Coach for the Women's Club Team at the University of Miami, where they implemented fundraising plans and assisted student-athletes with resume writing. Jose also worked as the Head Lacrosse Coach for JV Girls at Pope John Paul II High School and as the Director of Development and Alumni Relations, where they created and directed the school's ambassador program. Jose's earlier experiences include working as an Event Coordinator and Program Assistant at Florida Atlantic University, where they managed university-wide events and developed marketing plans. Jose also worked as an Assistant to the Campaign Manager for the Mayor Rita Ellis/Commissioner Gary Eliopoulos Campaign, conducting research and implementing grassroots campaigns. Prior to this, Jose served as a Legal Assistant and Property Manager at Weiner & Aronson, P.A., where they conducted research, performed data analysis, and provided support in various office tasks.
Jose Herrera's education history begins with their high school education at Pope John Paul II High School from 1998 to 2001. After completing high school, they pursued their undergraduate degree at Florida Atlantic University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from 2001 to 2005. Following their undergraduate studies, Jose continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master of Science in Criminology from Florida Atlantic University between 2005 and 2009.
In addition to their formal education, Jose has also obtained a certification in Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED from the American Red Cross in January 2021.
