Rick Smith

Rick (Eric) Smith currently serves as the CFO for the Network Security Business Segment at Palo Alto Networks, a role held since November 2021, overseeing various business models including hardware, software, services, and SaaS. Prior to this position, Rick held multiple finance leadership roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise from December 1997 to November 2021, including CFO for Cloud Delivered Security Services and VP of Finance for Global Operations and WW Corporate FP&A. With extensive experience in strategic planning, financial leadership, and operational management across various sectors, Rick has successfully driven financial performance and optimized costs throughout his career. Rick earned a BS in Finance/Economics from California State University-Sacramento from 1990 to 1994.
