James Otieno

James Otieno is a Trustee at Palo Alto University. James previously worked as the VP of Executive Compensation and Services at Hewlett-Packard, where they managed programs in over 70 countries with a budget of over $1 billion. Prior to that, they worked as a consultant in the human resources space for various companies, including CEN - Center for Excellence in Nonprofits, PV Tech, Inc., Silicon Valley Education Foundation (SVEF), Child Advocates of Silicon Valley, and Children's Health Council. Mr. Otieno has over 30 years of experience in executive compensation, board of director compensation, general compensation, sales compensation, benefits and human resources.

James Otieno has a Doctor of Humane Letters - Honorary from Palo Alto University, a Master of Arts in Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Economics & Psychology from the University of Minnesota.
