Phil Yphantides

Phil Yphantides, M.D. has an extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Phil currently holds the position of Chief Medical Officer at Palomar Health Medical Group and Vice President of Medical Affairs at Palomar Health, both since 2022. Phil is also a Board Member of TrueCare since 2023. Previously, they served as a Board Member of Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group from 2020 to 2022 and as the Medical Director of Sharp Rees Stealy Urgent Cares at Sharp HealthCare from 2013 to 2022. Phil has also been a Board Member of TrueCare from 2018 to 2020, a Board Member of Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group from 2011 to 2013, a Board Member of San Diego Academy of Family Physicians from 2006 to 2009, and held the position of Medical Director at Neighborhood Healthcare from 2001 to 2006.

Phil Yphantides, M.D. completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in General Bio/Physiology at UC San Diego from 1989 to 1993. Phil then pursued their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at UC San Diego School of Medicine from 1993 to 1997. Finally, they completed a Family Medicine Residency program at UC San Diego from 1997 to 2000.
