Derek Whitworth

Derek Whitworth is an experienced executive with a strong background in operations and management across various industries. Currently serving as Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Operations at Ocean Born Impact since January 2024, Derek previously held the position of Operating Partner at Pamplona Capital Management from September 2012. Additional roles include CEO and President at TMD Friction from July 2005 to November 2012, VP Operations at Pall Corporation from 2002 to 2005, and VP CS&Q at Lucas Aerospace from 1999 to 2002. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London.
