Sumanta Kumar Ray

Sumanta Kumar Ray is an experienced technology executive with a career spanning over three decades in the telecommunications industry. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer for OAM at Globacom since January 2022, Sumanta also holds the positions of Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer at Pan African Towers Limited since November 2019. Previous roles include Managed Service Operation Director at Huawei Technologies Nigeria Pvt Ltd, Consulting Program Manager at Ooredoo Qatar, and Chief Technology Officer at Visafone Communications Limited and Reliance Communications Ltd. Sumanta's early career included significant positions at Bonsai Network India Pvt Ltd, Lucent Technologies Singapore Ltd, and Essar Cellphone (Vodafone), complemented by foundational experience as a Flight Lieutenant in the Indian Air Force. Sumanta holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Veer Surendra Sai University Of Technology and University College of Engineering, both attained between 1984 and 1988.
