Dr.sebastian Garcia Saiso

Dr. Sebastian Garcia Saiso has a diverse work experience in the healthcare sector. Dr.Sebastian currently holds the position of Director of Evidence and Intelligence for Action in Health at the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) since March 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Director General of Quality and Health Education at the Secretaría de Salud from June 2014 to August 2019. Dr.Sebastian also held the role of Coordinator of Advisors for the Subsecretariat of Integration and Development of the Health Sector from December 2011 to June 2014 at the same organization. Earlier in their career, they worked as the Director of CONAMED from November 2009 to December 2011. Additionally, they served as the Coordinator at the Faculty of Medicine UNAM from September 2004 to August 2005.

Dr. Sebastian Garcia Saiso completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Medicine from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in 2004. Dr.Sebastian then pursued further studies in Health Policy Planning and Financing, earning a Master of Science degree from The London School of Economics and Political Science in 2006. Dr.Sebastian later obtained a second Master of Science degree in Health Policy from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, between 2007 and 2009.
