Sam Blackman

Sam Blackman is an experienced finance professional currently serving as an Associate Portfolio Manager at Pan Capital Management LP, specializing in global macro strategies across G10 and emerging markets rates, foreign exchange, and equities since November 2023. Previously, Sam held senior positions at UBS, including Director of Macro Strategy & Data Science at UBS O'Connor/Asset Management and Director of Global Macro Strategy at UBS Investment Bank, where responsibilities included developing cross-asset strategies informed by alternative data and data science. Prior to UBS, Sam worked as a Global Macro Strategist at Cornerstone Macro LLC and as a Quantitative Modeling Specialist at Bloomberg LP, along with serving as Senior Financial Modeling Specialist at S&P Global Market Intelligence. Sam holds a B.A. in International Affairs with a concentration in Russian Political Economy from the Elliott School of International Affairs and has pursued further education at prestigious institutions including Middlebury College and Johns Hopkins SAIS.
