Shawn McCarty

Shawn McCarty has a diverse range of work experience in various accounting and finance roles. Shawn currently serves as a Senior Manager - Accounting & Finance at Panda Health, where they are responsible for managing the company's financial accounts, payrolls, budget, cash receipts, and financial assets. Shawn also handles the monthly close process, including journal entries, account balance reconciliations, and report preparation, and assists in cash flow forecasting.

Prior to their current role, Shawn was the owner of 'Peake Beverage Group, LLC', where they created and developed a Maryland-based vodka brand called Dock Bar Vodka. Shawn also engaged in beverage development, brand development, and provided beverage consulting services.

Before their venture into the beverage industry, Shawn worked as a Senior Rev Ops Accountant at Dragos, Inc., where they implemented ASC 606 and streamlined revenue recognition processes. Shawn managed the full revenue cycle, from invoice creation to revenue recognition and payment application.

In earlier positions, Shawn held roles such as Senior Accountant at Pixelligent Technologies, Senior Accountant at eOriginal, Inc., and Accountant at Connections Education. Shawn also served as a Business Manager/Controller at Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services and as an Accountant/Controller at POWELL RECOVERY CENTER.

Throughout their career, Shawn has gained extensive experience in accounting, finance, and revenue operations in various industries, showcasing their versatility and expertise.

Shawn McCarty completed their high school education at Archbishop Curley from 2000 to 2004. During this period, they received their HS Diploma with a focus in General Studies. Following that, they pursued further education at Villa Julie College from 2004 to 2008. Shawn earned their Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration during their time at Villa Julie College.
