Propulsion Engineer at Pangea Aerospace

Arthur Thiam has a wealth of experience in the field of aerospace engineering. Arthur began their career in 2016 at Delft Aerospace Rocket Engineering, where they held the roles of Advisory Propulsion Engineer - Stratos IV, Supervisory Board Member, Lead Propulsion Engineer - Stratos IV, and President. During their time as Lead Propulsion Engineer, they took one year off from studying to work full-time on the Stratos IV project, with the goal of launching the first student-built rocket to reach space. Arthur also worked on the design, manufacturing, integration and testing of additively manufactured titanium nozzle. As President, they managed the board responsible for inter-team communication, general societal management and external communication. Additionally, they were an engineer on the Cryogenic Propulsion Team, where they designed and integrated the cryogenic feed system. In 2022, they began working at Pangea Aerospace as a Propulsion Engineer and Propulsion Design Intern.

Arthur Thiam has a diverse educational background. From 2015 to 2019, they attended Delft University of Technology, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering. Arthur also completed a Minor in Project Management at the same university from 2017 to 2018. In 2019, they returned to Delft University of Technology to pursue a Master of Science in Spaceflight, which they are expected to complete in 2021. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain Technology from edX in March 2021.
