Oliver Friedrichs

CEO at Pangea

Oliver Friedrichs is the current CEO of Pangea. Oliver was previously the VP of Security Products at Splunk from April 2018 to April 2021. Prior to that, they were the SVP, Cloud Technology and Strategy at Sourcefire from January 2011 to April 2014.

In July 2008, Oliver founded Immunet Corporation, a venture-backed Palo Alto, California-based AntiMalware software company which was acquired by Sourcefire in December 2010. At Immunet, Oliver developed one of the industry's first Big Data security platforms to discover, detect, and remove advanced malware.

Before founding Immunet, Oliver served as Director, Emerging Technologies at Symantec Corporation from August 2002 to July 2008. In this role, they created Symantec's Emerging Technologies group to define strategy for security technology development. Additionally, they created Symantec Advanced Threat Research and was responsible for research into existing and future threats, computing platforms and security solutions. Oliver also managed DeepSight engineering during their time at Symantec.

From May 1998 to December 1999, Oliver was a Senior Manager at McAfee. Prior to that, they founded and served as CEO of Phantom Cyber Corporation from April 2014 to April 2018.
