Ken Varner is currently the Assistant Director of Finance at Panhandle Community Services. Previously, Ken has held various financial and managerial positions in companies such as Prime Pursuits, Deakin Electric Inc., Cactus Feeders, and Champion Feeders. With a background in finance and experience as a Project Manager and Office Manager/Controller, Ken brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their current role. In addition to their professional career, Ken also serves as the Senior Pastor at Westway Baptist Church, where Ken focuses on helping and supporting those in need. Education wise, Ken attended both Texas Tech University and West Texas A&M University.

Panhandle Community Services is a non-profit, community based organization offering a variety of programs and services to assist low-income individuals and families. Our programs and services are designed and implemented to target specific poverty-related issues with the goal of bridging the gap between poverty and self-sufficiency. As a whole, PCS provides a broad base of support for the residents of all twenty-six Panhandle counties. Our Mission is to work as a community leader and partner in the Texas Panhandle to change the lives of low-income people by bridging the gap from poverty to self-sufficiency.
