Spencer Hancock's work experience includes being a Full Stack Engineer at Pani since 2020. In this role, they work on the WaterFront team and is responsible for developing the React frontend, Hasura Graphql and Flask servers, and Postgres database.
Prior to working at Pani, Spencer was a Software Engineering Student at the University of Victoria starting in 2018. Spencer also had a role as a Mechanical Engineering Student during the same period. Additionally, Spencer was awarded the Schulich Leader Scholarship in 2018, which is a prestigious $100,000 scholarship for high-achieving engineering students.
Before attending university, Spencer worked as a Ski Patrol volunteer at Mount Washington Alpine Resort from November 2017 to March 2019.
Spencer's earliest work experience was as a student at Ballenas Secondary School from September 2013 to June 2018. During their time at the school, they had various opportunities, including building part of a cube satellite, participating in outdoor activities with ROAMS, studying abroad in France and Quebec, and developing a passion for learning.
Spencer Hancock pursued a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, specifically in the field of Computer Science, from the University of Victoria. This educational venture spans from 2018 to 2023.
