Prior to this, Ortal held the position of Director of Algorithm at Agrint Inc. and worked in R&D at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. Ortal's academic background includes a Master's degree in AI & PHM algorithms and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
