Daniel Johnson

Daniel Johnson has a strong background in technology and software engineering, with extensive leadership experience in the education and finance sectors. Daniel is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Panorama Education since 2023. Prior to this role, they held the position of Vice President of Product Management and Software Engineering at Ridgeline from 2017 to 2023.

Before joining Ridgeline, Daniel worked at Workday for over a decade, where they held multiple leadership roles. Daniel served as the Vice President of Software Engineering for Student Systems, responsible for building and managing a team of 150 employees and bringing 11 higher education institutions live into production. Daniel also served as the Vice President of Software Engineering for Financials, overseeing the construction and leadership of the next-generation SaaS Financial Applications Suite, with 75 employees and 35+ customers.

Earlier in their career, Daniel worked at Oracle as the Director of Product Management and Software Engineering. Daniel led the integration of the PeopleSoft and Oracle Engineering teams, developing the Oracle Fusion Financials product offering and managing a global team of 50+ engineers.

Daniel also has experience at PeopleSoft, Inc. as the Director of Product Management and Software Engineering, focusing on Cash, Deal, Risk Management, and eSettlements products. Daniel defined the product vision and executed all functional and technical requirements for the company's five product offerings.

Before joining PeopleSoft, Daniel started their career as a Product Consultant at American Management Systems.

From 1991 to 1995, Daniel Johnson attended UC Santa Barbara, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
