Ordaz Jeter, M.Ed. has a diverse work experience in various industries. Starting in 2012, Ordaz worked as a Network Systems Analyst at Wake Forest Baptist Health, focusing on IT support and EPIC systems analysis in the healthcare sector. In 2014, Ordaz took on adjunct faculty roles at both The Art Institutes and Stratford University, teaching college mathematics and serving as the Program Lead for Health Information Management at Stratford University. Ordaz also gained experience in the airline industry as a Delta Airlines Above Wing Airline Customer Support Agent from 2019 to 2020. Additionally, Ordaz has held roles as an Information Technology Support Specialist at Virginia Beach City Public Schools, serving as technical support for staff and students, and as the Chief Technology Officer at Clinical & Herbal Innovations, Inc., overseeing the development of a dietary supplement product. Most recently, Ordaz worked as an Information Technology Specialist at Old Dominion University, providing digital archival support and tech support for online classes.
Ordaz Jeter, M.Ed. has a diverse and extensive education history. They began their studies at Virginia Union University in 1983, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, with a focus on Information Systems. After completing their undergraduate studies in 1990, Ordaz pursued further education in the U.S. Army, attending the Communications/Electronics School and Signal Officer Basic Course. This program provided training in computers and secure radio communications, earning Ordaz a degree in Electronics.
In 1991, Ordaz attended the University of Virginia for a year, specializing in Educational Research Methodology, Statistics, and Information Systems. Building on this foundation, Ordaz went on to complete a Master's of Education degree at George Mason University from 2000 to 2003. Their field of study during this program was Education, Curriculum & Instruction, and Educational IT.
After several years in the education field, Ordaz decided to pursue medical coding and RN nursing prerequisites. They attended Danville Community College from 2009 to 2011, focusing on these subjects. Following this, Ordaz returned to graduate studies in 2015 at Old Dominion University Graduate School to pursue Statistics. Currently, Ordaz is still engaged in their graduate studies at Old Dominion University.
To enhance their knowledge and skills, Ordaz obtained a CompTIA A+ Certification from CompTIA in May 2023, further demonstrating their commitment to professional development and knowledge in the field of information technology.
