Kris Amundson

Kris Amundson has over a decade of experience in network and security engineering, with a focus on site reliability engineering (SRE). They have worked for various companies, including Panthalassa, Blocknative, New Relic, Gemini.com, Puppet, the National Science Foundation, Vestas, OpenSourcery, LLC, Portland State University, and Equator Technologies. Throughout their career, Kris has held roles such as Principal Network and Security Engineer, Senior Network and Security Engineer, SRE, and Network Engineer. They have been involved in projects related to network architecture, network automation, data center design, and IT automation. Kris has also gained experience in working with telemetry and observability products, cloud services, and cryptocurrency exchanges.

Kris Amundson attended the Oregon Institute of Technology from 1996 to 1998, where they studied Computer Engineering. In addition to their degree, Kris also obtained several certifications including Cisco Certified Network Professional and Cisco Certified Network Associate from Cisco, Linux Professional Institute Certification 1 from Linux Professional Institute, and ITIL Version 3 Foundation Certification.
