Lisa Shanks

Lisa Shanks has a diverse work experience in the dental field. Lisa started their career as a Dental Laboratory Technician at DenTech Dental Laboratory from 2004 to 2006. Lisa then worked as an Office Manager at Knierim Orthodontics from 2005 to 2006, where they were responsible for establishing and managing all aspects of a startup practice.

In 2006, Lisa joined DENTAL IMAGES, P.C. and held various roles during their time there. Lisa started as a Primary Assistant, assisting dentists with procedures and developing an Assistant Handbook. From 2007 to 2020, they also served as the OSHA Coordinator, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing training. Lisa further expanded their responsibilities as the Lab and Implant Coordinator, designing and 3D printing surgical guides and assisting dentists with case planning. From 2015 to 2020, Lisa was the Senior Clinical Manager, overseeing processes and projects and training dental staff.

Lisa then joined Henry Schein in 2017 as an HSD Certified 3Shape TRIOS Trainer. Lisa'srole involved teaching dentists and their teams how to use TRIOS 3shape software and mediating technical issues. In 2020, they moved to Oventus Medical Ltd, where they first worked as a Dental-Sleep Practice Coordinator, providing practice management and support to dental-sleep satellites. Lisa later became the Manager of Clinical Education and Training, creating curriculum and facilitating product training for partners.

Lisa's most recent position is as a Sr. Clinical Sales Representative at Panthera Dental since 2022.

Lisa Shanks obtained a Dental Assisting Certificate from the Tennessee Technology Center at Knoxville in 2006. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History, Criticism and Conservation from Richmond upon Thames College from 1992 to 1995. Lisa also briefly studied Art History, Criticism and Conservation at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville from 1991 to 1992. In addition to their academic achievements, Lisa Shanks holds several certifications including Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) obtained from the Tennessee Board of Dentistry in June 2006, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) obtained from the American Heart Association in December 2020, and TRIOS Certified Trainer - Foundational obtained from 3Shape in May 2021.
