Søren Holstebroe

Søren Holstebroe has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Søren started their career in 1994 as a research assistant at the University of Copenhagen, where they maintained and developed software and hardware for comparative genomic hybridization image analysis. Søren also worked as a research assistant and later a PhD student in bioinformatics, focusing on identifying functional patterns for CpG islands in the human genome.

In 1997, Søren joined Dako as a software developer and later worked at Agilent Technologies as a senior software engineer. At Agilent Technologies, they worked on Windows client and server software for the Dako Omnis Advanced Staining Solution, a slide staining machine used in cancer pathology.

Søren also has experience as a system developer at Image House A/S, where they designed industrial machine vision systems for the medical equipment industry and developed a high-performance pattern recognition product for the postal industry. Søren later became the head of development at IHPostal A/S, leading their development team.

In 2010, Søren returned to Image House A/S as a system developer, working on a project for detecting defects on moving train pantographs. Prior to their career in software development, Søren worked as a partner at Ezentia, where they were responsible for administrative management and consulting for clients such as Bonnier publishing and Universal Music. Søren also designed and developed ProNestor, a visitation and resource booking management system.
