Georgia Prentou

Georgia Prentou is a seasoned medical physicist with extensive experience in the field of radiotherapy. Currently, Georgia serves in the Radiotherapy Division at Papapostolou Healthcare Technologies since August 2020. Previously, Georgia held the position of PhD Candidate at the Medical Physics Laboratory from 2017 to February 2020, supported by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology and the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation. Prior experience includes a role at St. Savvas Anticancer Institute from May 2016 to May 2017 and conducting clinical research on geometric uncertainty in stereotactic radiosurgery applications. Earlier involvement included Monte Carlo simulations in gamma-camera systems for a bachelor's thesis at the Spect Lab, nuclear and particle physics department. Georgia earned a Ph.D. in Modern Techniques of Radiotherapy from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds both a Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Physics and Physics, respectively.
