Ash Golzar

Ash Golzar has a strong background in machine learning and research. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Machine Learning at Paper, starting in February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Machine Learning Engineer Lead at BenchSci from June 2020 to February 2022. Before that, Ash worked at ServiceNow Research as an Applied Research Scientist from February 2019 to May 2020. Ash also worked as a Machine Learning Scientist at Clemex Technologies from July 2017 to February 2019, where they researched and implemented deep learning models for image localization and segmentation tasks, resulting in a 15% improvement in accuracy. Ash began their career as a Research Assistant at McGill University from September 2010 to April 2015, where they focused on collecting and analyzing behavioral data and developing statistical models. Ash also co-founded Entrancity in 2010, a nonprofit content website aimed at helping newcomers settle in a new city. Additionally, Ash worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Verona from October 2007 to August 2009, where they were involved in recording and analyzing neural activity and developing Matlab routines for data analysis.

Ash Golzar completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Visual Systems from McGill University from 2010 to 2016. Prior to that, they attained a Master's degree in Systems Neuroscience from McGill University in 2010.
