Brazilian Portuguese Localization Specialist at Papercup

Ana Olivo has a diverse range of work experience in the language and localization industry. Ana started their career in 2011 as a freelance translator and proofreader. In 2014, they worked as an Assistant Translator at Adriana Maciel - Office of Certified Translation. From 2016 to 2018, they served as an Independent Consultant/Evaluator at Appen.

In 2018, Ana joined Alpha as a Brazilian Portuguese Linguistic Tester/Translator. Ana also worked as an LQA Test Lead for eBay from January 2019 to February 2020.

Since 2020, Ana has been employed at Welocalize as a Brazilian Portuguese Language Lead. In this role, they are responsible for translating and reviewing content for the Brazilian market, such as UI, blog posts, FAQs, and marketing materials. Ana coordinates and collaborates with team members across different time zones to ensure quality final delivery and user experience.

In 2021, Ana joined Papercup as a Brazilian Portuguese Localization Specialist. Here, their responsibilities include English transcription and proofreading, Brazilian Portuguese localization of video scripts and metadata, and proof listening for quality control.

Throughout their career, Ana Olivo has gained extensive experience in translation, proofreading, localization, and linguistic testing.

Ana Olivo obtained a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, which they attended from 2011 to 2014. Ana then pursued a Licentiate degree in English Language and Literature/Letters at the same university from 2011 to 2015. Ana went on to earn a Master's degree in English - Linguistics from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina from 2015 to 2017. Prior to these academic pursuits, they completed a Professional Degree in Information Systems at the IFSC - Instituto Federal de Santa Catarina from 2007 to 2008.
