Daniel Lawrie

Product Manager at Papercup

Daniel Lawrie has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. Daniel began their career as a Junior Counselor at Camp Shohola Inc., where they were co-responsible for 10 children aged from 8 to 15 years old 24 hours a day over 8 weeks. Daniel also organized and lead the rugby and fitness program, equipping the kids with basic skills and knowledge of the sport. In 2013, they worked as an Intern at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), where they worked in a team that surveyed a small polluted river in the Philippines and began implementation of a bio-filtration system at the request of local stakeholders. Daniel also analyzed the information collected, produced a report with recommendations and presented findings to the ADB representatives. In 2016, they worked as a Community Manager at OneClass - Notesolution Inc. and as Vice-President (Internal Affairs) and Vice President Internal Trainee at the Students' Society of McGill University. In 2018, they worked as an Engineering Project Management COOP at Septodont. In 2020, they worked as a Cybsersecurity Strategy & Governance Associate at KPMG Singapore. Finally, in 2021, they worked as a Product Manager and Product and Operations Associate at Papercup.

Daniel Lawrie began their educational journey in 2010 when they attended International School Manila and graduated with a High School degree in 2014. During their time there, they studied Higher Level Physics, Chemistry and French, as well as Standard Level Math, Literature, and Theirtory. Daniel then went on to attend McGill University and obtained an Engineer's Degree in Materials Engineering CO-OP in 2020. Most recently, in 2021, they obtained an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
