Anna Kurkela has a diverse work experience in the fashion and design industry. Anna is the founder and creative director of Papu Design, a sustainable children's wear company. Anna is responsible for leading the brand and overseeing design, product development, financial management, sales, and marketing. Anna also co-founded Weecos Oy, an online sustainable marketplace, where they focused on business development, brand management, and sustainability criteria. Additionally, they co-founded Nokian Neulomo Oy, supporting Finnish textile manufacturing and new textile innovations. Anna has also worked as a fund manager and board member at DesignOnTampere Association, where they developed public shopping events and design weeks. Anna has experience as an independent designer, shop manager, and board member at Super Mukava Design Osk. Anna has a background in pattern making and assistant designing as well. Anna Kurkela took a break in their career for maternity leave in 2011.
