Matthew Schrandt

Matthew Schrandt is an experienced Application Engineer currently at PAR Systems since October 2021, with a prior role as Applications Engineer at Optomec from March 2016 to October 2021. Matthew's background includes a position as Lab Technician II at 3M/ Volt, where research focused on Si-anode lithium-ion battery materials, and a Graduate Research Assistant position at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, investigating fuel cell catalysts and lithium-ion battery anodes for space applications. Additional experience includes a summer researcher role at NASA Glenn Research Center, and various teaching positions, including private chemistry instruction and a summer camp counselor at the Science Museum of Minnesota. Matthew holds a Master's degree in Materials Science from South Dakota Mines and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from St. Olaf College.
