Linda Mitton

Linda Mitton has extensive work experience in the cybersecurity and information technology field. Linda is currently the Governance, Risk, & Compliance Practice Lead at Parabellyx Cybersecurity, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this, Linda worked at CYBERLIS from 2008 to 2022, serving as a Senior Consultant and Web Application Developer. Linda'srole there involved developing a security software platform for organizations to track their compliance to cybersecurity frameworks. Additionally, they participated in the Venn Innovations Garage program, where they developed a SaaS application for students.

Before joining CYBERLIS, Linda worked at KPMG UK from 2006 to 2008 as a Senior Manager. Linda was involved in client management, business development, and project management strategies. Linda also has experience at KPMG US, where they worked as a Senior Manager in 2005 and as a Manager to Senior Manager from 1999 to 2004. During their time at KPMG, they delivered technology audit, security, and governance services to a variety of clients, including government agencies.

Earlier in their career, Linda served as the Director of Security & Compliance at Atlantic Lottery Corporation from 2004 to 2005. Linda was responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of the organization's operations. Prior to that, Linda worked at CIBC in various roles, including Information System Manager, Internal Auditor, Security Analyst, and Customer Service Representative, from 1987 to 1999. Linda'sresponsibilities at CIBC ranged from managing information systems to evaluating security standards.

Linda Mitton obtained a diploma in Web and Mobile Application Development from NBCC (New Brunswick Community College) from 2017 to 2019. Earlier on, they completed a Telecommunication Management Certificate from Ryerson University in 1998. Linda also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Computing and Information Systems from Saint Mary's University, which they completed in 1990.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Linda has obtained several certifications. Linda earned the Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) certification from ISACA in November 2004. In July 2003, they obtained the Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) certification, also from ISACA. Furthermore, Linda obtained the CISSP certification from (ISC)² in March 2000.
