Darío Alvarez

Darío Alvarez has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Darío is currently the Head of IT & Digital at Paracel since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Tigo Paraguay where they held various positions including Gerente de Productos Corporativos, Product Manager - Mobile Financial Services, and Software Architect. Darío also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Washington State University and as a Software Development Intern at Western Asset Management.

Darío'searlier experiences include working as a Project Manager at Inavan S.R.L., Presidente at Asociación de Usuarios de Internet, and Director Creativo EGD at emg*. Darío also served as a Java EE Instructor at Universidad Comunera and worked as a Java Developer at Indra and Centro Interamericano de Administraciones Tributarias.

Throughout their career, Darío has gained expertise in IT, digital, product management, software development, teaching, and project management.

Darío Alvarez completed their Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Washington State University, from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued undergraduate studies in Informática, earning an Ingeniería degree from Universidad Catolica "Nuestra Señora de la Asunción" between 1997 and 2002. Darío also completed their high school education, specializing in Technical Baccalaureate in Informática, at Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications in various fields, including sales, user communication, metrics, Scrum, agile planning, business strategy, and innovation implementation.
