Meghan Macera

Meghan Macera has a diverse work experience in the design field. Meghan is currently working as a Staff Product Designer at Parachute Health since March 2023. Previously, they held the role of Senior Product Designer at the same company from July 2021 to March 2023.

Before joining Parachute Health, Meghan worked as a Visual, UX, and Graphic Designer on a contract basis. Meghan collaborated with various clients, including Icarus Medical Innovations, on projects such as UX design, web design, branding, and print design from May 2019.

From January 2020 to July 2021, Meghan was a Senior Product Designer at WillowTree. Meghan operated as clients' product team, creating documentation and driving product strategy. Prior to that, they worked as a Product Designer from April 2017 to January 2020 and as an Art Director from July 2017 to February 2018 at WillowTree. Additionally, they started their tenure at WillowTree as a Designer from June 2016 to April 2017.

Meghan also gained experience as a Graphic Designer at FourDesign, a center at Virginia Tech, from January 2016 to May 2016. Meghan directly worked with clients on design projects, including logo and web design.

Furthermore, they had internships at SPARK Experience as a Design Intern in June 2015 and at Kohn Creative as a Design & Print Intern in June 2014.

In 2015, Meghan participated in the Visual Communication Design Summer European Immersion Program offered by Virginia Tech College of Architecture and Urban Studies. The program focused on typology, symbology, Swiss typography, and studying ancient cities.

Meghan Macera obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Design and Visual Communications, General from Virginia Tech, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Westminster High School from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, Meghan has earned certifications in "Design Leadership for Individual Contributors" from Design Dept. in February 2023 and "Leading for Creativity" from IDEO U in November 2017.
