Edwin Campos, PhD, serves as the AVP of Data Science at Heitman, focusing on innovative data science solutions for global real estate investment management since March 2020. Additionally, Edwin co-founded Parachute in March 2021, providing leadership on analytics related to weather and climate risks. Previous roles include Senior Data Scientist and Manager at Early Warning®, where Edwin was the lead inventor of machine learning tools for fraud protection and oversaw the Data Science Internship Program. Experience also includes positions as Science Adjunct Professor at Robert Morris University, Lead Data Scientist at Uptake, and Atmospheric Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory. Early career highlights involve work as a Research Fellow at Environment Canada and extensive experience in meteorology with the Gobierno de Costa Rica. Edwin holds a PhD and MS in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from McGill University, along with a Licentiate and Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Universidad de Costa Rica.
