Ariel Paling has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of engineering. They began their career as a Design and Debug Engineer at Intel Corporation in 2005 and worked in various roles including Product Development Engineer, Component Design Engineer, and SoC Design and Verification Engineer. At Intel, Ariel focused on tasks such as architectural exploration, simulation environment setup, functional and HVM reset bring-up, and functional test case debugging. They also led the Structural Based Functional Test (SBFT) team and developed a proof-of-concept (POC) flow for emulator testing.

In 2016, Ariel worked as a SoC Design and Verification Consultant at SMLSSystems, where they created and extended verification environments for clients like Qualcomm-Atheros and zGlue. They also added UVM agents to the SoC TB to create reusable content between block and SoC levels.

Ariel then joined zGlue in 2018 as a Systems Design and Verification Engineer, where they led the top-level ASIC verification effort for the Zeus 2 programmable ASIC. They also carried out requirements gathering and analysis for hardware designs at the PCB level.

From 2019 to 2022, Ariel worked at Flex Logix Technologies, Inc. as a Verification Lead. In this role, they led the SoC verification effort for the X1 Inference chip and supervised integration verification activities for commercial IPs.

Currently, Ariel is working as a Principal Engineer at Paradigm Works, Inc., starting in 2022.

Ariel Paling holds a Master's of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Cornell University, which was obtained from 1999 to 2000. Prior to that, Ariel Paling also obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Cornell University, which was obtained from 1995 to 1999. Additionally, Ariel Paling has obtained various certifications in systems engineering, SystemC modeling, UVM adoption, and SystemVerilog from institutions such as UC San Diego Extension and Doulos in the years 2016 to 2018.
