Karo Kiessling has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

Starting in 2007, they worked as a Tax Officer at Finanzamt Minden until 2009.

In 2014, Kiessling worked as a Research Assistant for Children Of Kilimanjaro, focusing on assessing the HIV situation in Mdawi, Tanzania. They conducted qualitative data collection, established networks and managed stakeholders, participated in HIV self-help groups, and used the results for their Master's thesis.

From 2014 to 2016, Kiessling worked as an Agent - Collection Operations at Klarna.

In 2016, they joined Medicago AB as a Marketing Coordinator, where they introduced and maintained a Newsfeed for customers, conducted A/B testing for email marketing, managed campaigns and distribution channels, maintained social media presence, and created marketing materials.

In 2017, Kiessling became a Marketing Manager at Netigate. In this role, they managed several projects, built a self-help platform for customers, assembled and managed an international team, implemented marketing automation strategies and email marketing campaigns, and administered programs such as Salesforce, Hubspot, Pardot, and Mailchimp.

Finally, in 2020, Kiessling joined Paradox Interactive as a Marketing Automation Specialist.

Karo Kiessling completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Health Communication from Bielefeld University, starting in 2009 and graduating in 2013. In 2013, Karo also pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Global Health at Maastricht University, completing the program in 2014. During this time, in 2010 and 2011, Karo obtained a Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English in English as a foreign language from Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College. Additionally, Karo has obtained several certifications, including Braze 2021 Marketer Certification from Braze in July 2021 and various marketing-related certifications from LinkedIn, such as Marketing Foundations: Automation, Advanced Product Marketing, Content Marketing Foundations, Google Analytics Essential Training, Product Marketing Foundations, SEO Foundations, Learning SQL Programming, and Online Marketing Foundations, obtained between 2020 and 2021. In 2013, Karo briefly attended the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology to study Public Health, but it is unclear whether a degree was obtained.
