Lysann Schlegel

Principal Game Programmer at Paradox Interactive

Lysann Schlegel has an extensive work experience in game and software development. They started their career as a Software Developer intern at SAP in 2011. In 2013, they became a self-employed freelance programmer, working on various projects until 2016. During that time, they also worked as a Mobile Games Developer at InnoGames GmbH from 2014 to 2016. In 2016, they joined Paradox Interactive as a Game Programmer, and later took on the role of Tech Lead for Crusader Kings III. They contributed to the game's successful release, including updates and the first DLC. Currently, Lysann holds the position of Senior Game Programmer at Paradox Interactive. Prior to their career in game development, they worked as a Student Assistant and Scholarship Owner at Hasso-Plattner-Institute, where they were involved in the development of web-based documentation and a cloud-based online platform for operating system experiments.

Lysann Schlegel pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in IT-Systems Engineering from 2010 to 2013 at the Hasso Plattner Institute, University of Potsdam. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in IT-Systems Engineering from 2007 to 2010 at the same institution.
