Jarred Roberts

Jarred Roberts is an experienced researcher and engineer specializing in high-energy astrophysics and brain-computer interface technology. Currently serving as an Assistant Project Scientist at the University of California, San Diego since May 2022, Jarred focuses on the Compton Spectrometer and Imager (COSI) gamma-ray space telescope. Additionally, Jarred works as an Electronics Hardware Development Engineer at Paradromics Inc, contributing to the development of high-resolution brain-computer interfaces. Prior roles include postdoctoral researcher positions at the University of California, Berkeley and the University of California, San Diego, where Jarred advanced next-generation instrumentation for gamma-ray telescopes and dark matter observatories. Jarred's research background also includes significant contributions at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where involvement with the ANtarctic Inpulse transient Antenna (ANITA) project and teaching assistance in electromagnetism labs build a solid foundation in physics, following a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Riverside.
