Jody Kochansky

Jody Kochansky currently serves as an Advisor to PE firms and in senior roles with portfolio companies. He formerly served as Head of the Aladdin Product Group at BlackRock. Aladdin is an operating system for investment professionals that powers every aspect of the investment process, and Jody was responsible for defining and implementing the vision for the platform used globally by BlackRock and many of BlackRock's largest clients. In parallel, Jody was Chair of the Aladdin Product Group Executive Committee and a member of BlackRock’s Global Operating Committee.

Jody worked with BlackRock for over two decades in a variety of leadership roles within technology, analytics and portfolio management. Previously, he served as Head of APG’s Portfolio Management Tools Group, which builds sophisticated analytical and order generation tools across asset classes and investment styles. He was Co-Head of the BlackRock Solutions Analytics team, responsible for risk analytic solutions and evolving Aladdin’s financial modeling capabilities. He served as Head of Equity Trading for the Americas, which included responsibility for cash equities, program trading, equity derivatives and international coverage. He was also a member of the Fixed Income Portfolio Management Group, where he traded structured products including asset-backed securities, adjustable-rate mortgages and other short duration mortgage products.
