Alejandro Alonso is a co-founder of East Edge Securities, serving in this role since November 2023. Previously, Alejandro gained experience as a software engineering intern at Morgan Stanley and as a quantitative research analyst at Paragon National Group. In the summer of 2023, Alejandro was a software engineering fellow at Jane Street, where a notable achievement included placing 1st in an electronic trading competition. Additionally, Alejandro worked as a student software developer focused on network architecture at the University of Chicago. Paragon National Group is an intercollegiate student-run multi-strategy hedge fund with 7 chapters at Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, New York University, Princeton University, the University of Chicago, and the University of Pennsylvania. The organization is dedicated to the development of students in value investing and algorithmic trading. Members of PNG invest $40,000 into public equities across two funds: a long-only value investment fund and a systematic low and mid-frequency algorithmic trading fund.
