Erik Barrefors

CTO & Co-Founder at Parakey

Erik Barrefors is currently the CTO and co-founder of Parakey. Erik has over eight years of experience in the automotive industry, specializing in engine control systems and active safety. Erik has a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology.

Erik started their career at Volvo Car Powertrain as a function developer for dependability. Erik then moved to Volvo Car Corporation as a technical consultant within Active Safety development and Dependability for engine control systems. In 2013, Erik joined ÅF as a technical consultant within Dependability for engine control systems at Volvo Car Corporation.

In September 2011, Erik began working at Denso Sales Sweden AB as a system engineer within Active Safety. Erik then moved to Epsilon Embedded Systems AB in the same capacity before returning to Volvo Car Corporation in February 2012 as a function developer for Dependability. Erik remained with Volvo until November 2014 when they left to pursue their current role at Parakey.

Erik Barrefors has a M.Sc in Systems, Control and Mechatronics from Chalmers University of Technology as well as a B.Sc in Automation and Mechatronics from the same school.

Humberto Linero - Developer, Emil Janitzek - Head of Engineering, and Didrik Lind - Developer report to Erik Barrefors. Their manager is Jonas Arvidsson, CEO & Co-Founder. Erik Barrefors works with Marcus Andersson - CFO & Co-Founder, Peter Wegdell - Head of Sales, and Joakim Ahlmén - Business Developer.
